New offices

Ian Murgitroyd, Chairman of Murgitroyd & Company, confirmed that the practice's network of European offices is set to be increased by two with new offices opening in the Milan area of Italy and Edinburgh, Scotland. The new Italian office will add one to the number of European countries where Murgitroyd & Company can directly represent its clients' interests and reaffirms its reputation as the pre-eminent pan-European Patent and Attorney practice.

Exam success

Murgitroyd & Company is delighted that five of its professional staff have successfully passed the qualifying examinations to become European Patent Attorneys. The exam success of Niall Hendry, Steven McIlroy, Edward Murgitroyd, Gordon Stark and Glen Wilson brings the total number of qualified Attorneys in the practice to 48.

New "Director" appointments
 
Ian Murgitroyd, Chairman of Murgitroyd & Company, is delighted to announce Gordon Stark and Edward Murgitroyd have become "Director, Patents" as of the 30th of September 2006. Gordon and Edward, both of whom enjoyed success in the recent European Qualifying Exam results, were appointed to the practice's Management Board earlier in the year and have been with Murgitroyd & Company for eight and nine years respectively.
