The main functions of the Technical Support department are Records, Renewals and Formalities and the following tasks fall into these categories:

  1. Processing incoming mail/faxes/emails
  2. Extracting information from incoming mail and entering on system
  3. Monitoring deadlines
  4. Opening new files
  5. Processing new client portfolios
  6. Upkeep of client address list
  7. Legalisation of documents at Foreign Consuls
  8. Scanning of Foreign Attorneys' invoices
  9. Upkeep of official forms on system
  10. Processing UK Trade Mark Registration Certificates
  11. Creation of letters to clients for filing foreign applications and completion of applications
  12. Quality Procedures and Audits
  13. Upkeep of standard letters and work instructions
  14. Monitoring renewal dates and creation of renewal reminders on all Patents, Trade Marks and Designs including US Declarations of Use and dealing with formalities relating to Trade Mark renewals
  15. European Grant Formalities from Rule 71(3) stage through to filing foreign national phases of European Application.
