Translators
The Translation Department is part of Murgitroyd & Company's Support Team and is responsible for all translation work required within the company. Thus, the core of our work is patent and trademark related documents. However, through our division "Spectra®", we also operate as an independent translation agency and carry out all other translation work. German, French and English work is undertaken in-house and all other languages are subcontracted to qualified freelance translators.
Our in-house translators are fully qualified linguists and only translate into their mother-tongue. Our team has the advantage of using Trados™, a sophisticated translation software package which allows the creation of client-specific terminology databases, ensures good consistency and allows each translator to instantly benefit from the knowledge and experience of other members of our team. Numerous patent experts are also on hand to provide valuable technical advice.
Through professional and friendly consultation, we strive to establish client needs and work to meet them as best we can. We offer a transparent pricing structure and guarantee on-time delivery in the agreed format. All translations are thoroughly checked by another in-house translator to ensure optimal quality and accuracy. Our emphasis is on quality and we follow strict guidelines in all aspects of our work, in line with our ISO9001 accreditation.
Our main areas of expertise are: patent specifications (for the National Phase, opposition proceedings or prior art research), Trade Mark registration proceedings and certificates, legal contracts, websites, technical translation (mechanical, medical, genetics, chemistry, physics, electronics, oil industry, etc), parts manuals, marketing and business correspondence, and books.
